Episodes of 86 Eighty-Six Season 2 have been shifted to a later date in 2022. The makers have issued an apology for the fans and also announced another delay. Asato Asato’s 86 Eighty-Six came out on April 10, 2021. The series was initially going to begin in 2020 but was put on a break once more. Till now, 20 episodes and three specials have made their way to the fans. The first eight episodes came out without any gaps. However, the continuity was not maintained. The makers have postponed the release once again to fans much dislike.
86 Eighty-Six Season 2 Episode 11 & 12 Delayed!
The official website of the anime announced that season 2 is getting further delayed. Previously, Episodes 18 and 19 of Season 1 also faced a delay. However, it was a relatively short one. The episodes were shifted a week longer. On the other hand, Episodes 11 and 12 of Season 2 are coming back months later. With the news, an apology was also a part of it. Makers also asked the fans to keep looking at the official website for details on the release.
As the anime keeps gaining more fans, another delay till now is not well received. Fans argue that the series will take longer to finish, which might result in them losing interest.
Why Are The Episodes Delayed?
The anime had faced delay before for the18th episode due to some “production issues” which were not specified. Then, however, special programming took its place. Now, according to a news leaker, Sugoi LITE Twitter handle, the anime is postponed once again due to “production problems and schedule conflict.” Redditors have, however, refrained from blaming the animators till now.
If the series was to follow the timely release, then the new episode would have come out on January 8, 2021. However, the episodes are on a hiatus. So, the premiere is far from coming. Fans already saw it coming and are worrying about the third season. One Redditor states that the production delays will decrease the popularity of the show. Hence, another season might not be possible if the ratings drop.
86 Eighty-Six Season 2: Release Date
The 22nd episode would have come around in January. However, with the dates getting delayed, it will now release on March 12, 2022. Hence, the 23rd will premiere a week later, i.e., March 19, 2022.
