Universal Studios Japan is introducing new perks in the theme park to reboot the business. The park only opened back in July 2021 when lockdowns eased in Japan. But the business was not doing as well as it did before the crisis. Thus, to boost up ticket sales, the studio has decided to collaborate with one of the biggest banners of the anime world. That’s right, the Demon Slayer world is going to enter the USJ in Okasa. So, what is the collaboration about? What can fans expect from the Demon Slayer Themed Ride? Here is all you need to know!
Back in July 2021, Universal Studio Japan announced that they would be introducing a limited period Demon Slayer Themed Ride in the amusement park. The panel from the studio has also revealed the specifications of the ride. The ride will use virtual reality (VR) technology to project 3D figures in the roller coaster ride. Moreover, the ride is officially named the “Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba XR Ride.” Hence, Mugen Train will be the specific theme of the ride.
Demon Slayer Themed Ride: Universal Studios Introduces New Ride!
In the first week of July 2021, Universal Studios Japan announced that the production company would be joining hands with the makers of Demon Slayer. They intend to launch new and exciting rides into their theme park. In the announcement, it was revealed that the theme park would soon build a special Demon Slayer virtual reality Ride (VR). The ride will be based upon a roller coaster that would feature the scenes from Demon Slayer Mugen Train. Thus, the visitors can expect to see characters like Muzan and Akaza in their experience.
Moreover, riders will also get to revisit the epic battles of the film. The makers have revealed in the announcement that there will be a fight between Akaza and Rengoku. Moreover, other battling sequences from the movie will also be a part of the ride. 3-D figures of Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Nezuko will also appear in the roller coaster ride. Thus, the new USJ venture will give fans an experience of a lifetime.
Other Perks!
The theme park has revealed that along with the VR Ride, visitors will also enjoy other Demon Slayer-themed experiences. This includes Fuji no Hana Shokujidokoro, which is the Wisteria Restaurant. The diner will feature the beautiful flora of the Wisteria from the Demon Corps headquarters. Moreover, fans may find the Hashira members in the amusement parks. Additionally, Water Breathing master Giyu will be serving simmered salmon and daikon radish. This food is a staple to the Demon Slayer characters.
Demon Slayer Themed Ride: When Is It Launching?
The Universal Studios of Japan has specifically mentioned that the new ride is going to be a limited-period ride. Along with the ride, USJ will also provide Demon Slayer-themed food and merchandise in addition to other goodies. So, the rides will start from September 17, 2021, to February 13, 2022. Later on, USJ will start working on other collaborations with newer shows. It will be interesting to see which ride fans will find after this.
