Miko Yasu’s Police In A Pod manga began its publication under Kodansha. The text came out in 2017 and is currently ongoing. It has 19 volumes to date and a TV drama under its name. The series focuses on Kawai, a police officer who has no interest in resuming her job as a police underling. However, one day she meets the new head of her station and decides to stick for longer. The anime will be picking up the story from this point itself.
Police In A Pod Anime: New Trailer & Visual Reveals Cast!
Police in a Pod anime is based on the manga of the same name. The makers were quick to release another promotional video after the last announcement ten days ago. The official website of the anime released a brand new video showcasing the cast joining the productions on December 28, 2021. The franchise has also introduced the staff members working behind the cameras.
In addition, a visual also made its way to the awaiting fans. The poster reveals the two main leads of the series, Mai Kawai and her role model Seiko Fuji, respectively. Shion Wakayama will be seen as Kawai while Yui Ishikawa plays Seiko Fuji. Whereas Kobayashi Kendo plays their boss. Lastly, Kana Hanazawa will voice for Miwa Makitaka.
Staff Updates!
The official team of the anime includes Yuzo Sato as the director of the show. Moreover, Ryunosuke Kingetsu will handle the scripts while Kei Tsuchiya is the character designer. Lastly, the music is composed by Nobuaki Nobusawa. Studio Madhouse has acquired a highly skilled team for the upcoming anime.
While the main lead is confirmed, another list of the cast made the news earlier. Ryota Suzuki will be seen voicing for Seiji Minamoto. While Shimba Tsuchiya is taking up the character of Takeshi Yamada. Finally, Kendo Kobayashi and Rikiya Koyama will be playing the roles of police officers of higher ranks.
Police In A Pod Anime: Release Date
The fans of the manga would not have to wait much longer for their favorite anime to release. Police in a pod anime is set to premiere on January 5, 2022, on AT-X. The manga is available in English translation for overseas fans. Publishing company Kodansha will release the ninth volume of the manga on February 8, 2022.
