Several anime were affected by the COVID-19 and had to face numerous issues. They had to go in hiatus and delay their further streaming to ensure the safety of staff and team members. But, now as the situation is going towards betterment a large number of them has returned. Among those anime one is A Certain Scientific Railgun.
It went on hiatus after the announcement from its Twitter account on May 22. According to the statement, the series would return on July 22 with its 16th episode (Dream Ranker). Before going on hiatus, A Certain Scientific Railgun has already completed first half of its 3rd season. Now, when the second Half of A Certain Scientific Railgun is just around the corner the authorities are there to ignite the excitement.
New Trailer
Recently on July 10, the Toaru Project released a new trailer of this anime. The official website of the project also played its role in endorsing the continuation of A Certain Scientific Railgun. The statement on the site is confirming the scheduled release date of episode 16 which is July 24th.
This time the anime series is returning with a new arc, The Dark Ranker arc.
New Cast
Along with a new arc, the creators have enlisted some new characters. According to the source, those new characters and their dub artists are as follows:
- Atsumi Tanezaki as Ryoko Tiesoo
- Yuu Shibata as Miyama Shakage
- Sayu Suzushiro as a bow-hunting tiger
Details
The anime series of A Certain Scientific Railgun consists of a total three seasons. The initial two released in the year 2009 and 2013 respectively. Then after a gap of approx. seven years A Certain Scientific Railgun premiered at the start of this year i.e. on January 10, 2020. The creators of this anime are Tatsuyuki Nagai, the director and Shogo Yasukawa, the author.
