Aggretsuko is a story about Retsuko. She is a 25-year-old red panda working in the accounting department in her dream firm. She faces the typical problems a young adult would face in 21st century Japan. Although it is her dream job, her superiors’ demands keep piling up. She doesn’t counter or discuss with her superiors. Instead, she lets off steam by going to karaoke alone and singing death metal music every night. This has become her coping strategy to deal with stress. The story follows Retsuko as she navigates as a career woman in short clips of peak comedy and reliability.
In the latest season, the heroine deals with shady business happening in the accounting department of the firm. There is an inflation of profits going on. In addition to that, her relationships with the other characters considerably changed. On the other hand, Haida changes himself drastically. He confronts Himuro over the business, and they proceed to have an arm-wrestling match.
Retsuko helps Haida, but both Haida and Himuro end up quitting the company.
