Riot announced an animated series as part of the tenth-anniversary celebrations of the game. Netflix released the animated series ‘Arcane’ in November 2021.

However, apart from the short teaser, Netflix has not revealed any further information. Thus, it can be assumed that the series is still in the early stages of production. Riot Games launched the Riot x Arcane promotional campaign across all of the games associated with League of Legends. The games included exclusive first looks, drops, and inside information about the series. So, a similar campaign in 2022 might slowly tease new updates on Arcane Season 2.
What Happened In Arcane Season 1 So Far?
Arcane follows the story of two orphan sisters Vi and Powder. The sisters get separated after Powder accidentally blows a magic crystal which blows up two of their friends and injures Vi and their parental figure, Vander. Upset over the destruction and death, Vi calls her sister a ‘Jinx’ and leaves her. Silco, who wanted to be the new leader of Zaun, takes the lonely Powder under his wing.
Five years later, Caitlyn, an enforcer from Piltover, meets up with Vi to track down Silco, who has become a crime lord. Vi soon discovers that her sister is under the clutches of Silco. Jayce, the researcher responsible for the crystals and creating the Hextech technology, makes a deal with Silco. The peace treaty offers Zaun independence if Silco gives him Jinx. During the last episode of the series, Jinx abducts Silco, Vi, and Caitlyn. She then asks her sister to choose between her and the enforcer.
But before Vi can answer, Caitlyn breaks free and fights Jinx, who defeats her. Torn between choosing Vi and Silco, Jinx panics when Silco aims his gun at Vi. She shoots him and then breaks down in guilt. Silco dies telling Jinx that she is perfect the way she is and that he loves her. A furious Jinx then launches her rocket at the Piltover Council, which is approving Zaun to be an independent state.
What Will Happen In Arcane Season 2?
Arcane Season 2 will pick up from the rocket launch at the Piltover Council room. The second season will start by showing the aftermath of the rocket launch. It will decide who will survive and who will sacrifice their lives. Many fans are arguing that Jayce and Viktor will remain alive as they are both major champions from the game. But this is something that only season 2 can reveal.
In addition, Season 2 will also focus on the next leader of Zaun after the death of Silco. Furthermore, it will also highlight the individual struggles of Vi and Jinx. Fans are also speculating that Vi will join the Piltovan enforces to be with Caitlyn. Moreover, observant fans claim that Warwick will appear in season 2. The theory is based on the idea that Vander, who injected himself with Shimmer, is the mutated Warwick.
Who Will Be In The Cast?
As the story will continue to narrate the stories of the sisters, fans can expect the voice actors for Vi and Jinx. So, Hailee Steinfeld will return to voice Vi and Ella Purnell will return to voice Jinx. Additionally, Katie Leung might also return as Caitlyn. If Jayce survives the rocket launch, Kevin Alejandro will also return. In addition, Reed Shannon, Ellen Thomas, Harry Lloyd, and Toks Olagundoye might return as Ekko, Ambessa, Viktor, and Mel, respectively.

When Will Arcane Season 2 Come Out?
Riot Games CEO Nicolo Laurent sent out a tweet in November 2021 informing fans that Arcane will not come in 2022. In addition, the series is expected to still be in the early stages of production.
