Nisio Isin wrote the Monogatari light novel series in 2005. Publisher Kodansha has serialized and published it since then. The original run of the light novel series ended in 2021 with 28 volumes. In 2009, Shaft began producing anime versions of light novels. The first season ran for 30 episodes till 2012. The second season aired in 2013 with 28 episodes. The third season ran from 2014 to 2019 with 42 episodes. Moreover, there was a prequel anime film trilogy that was out in 2016 and 2017 with the title “Kizumonogatari.” Oh! Great began a manga series based on this in 2018. The series is currently ongoing.
Bakemonogatari Anime Returns: New Trailer OUT!
The producers released a new promo video on YouTube recently. After having no video content since 2019, fans were extremely happy to see a brand new video with all the favorite characters back on the screen again. They created this 3 minutes and 7 seconds long video to promote and celebrate the 12th volume of the manga series. However, seeing the video, fans became very excited as they think this may be a hint. They are hopeful that the anime series will return to the screen soon. With its beautiful art and clear soundtrack, the video has made fans think about the original Shaft anime series. Moreover, Akiyuki Shinbo and Akiko Watanabe were back directing and designing the trailer.
Plot Details
The Bakemonogatari Anime series follows a similar story to the light novel series. The story is about a high school student, Koyomi Araragi. One day he is attacked by a vampire, but he manages to survive. However, this incident brings him very close to the supernatural world. Then he meets various girls, each with a supernatural problem that he tries to solve. The story follows the scary adventures of the main character as he tries to fix the issues of other people. In addition to this, each of the girls has an item for her character.
The promo video was released to celebrate the 12th manga volume of the series. This volume picks up after the 11th volume. The lead will have to fight the Guillotine Cutter. However, the enemy has also taken Hanekawa. This means that the hero will have to push his limits and powers. However, this may bring his humanity into trouble. The story follows Koyomi on his adventure to save her and defeat the villain.
