The month of July has been a wonderful time for every fan who has been desperately waiting for Beastars Season 3. The parent production company of the anime announces that they are beginning work on the third installment of Beastars. The second season just began airing on Netflix this July. The 2016 manga got an anime adaptation in 2019. Studio Orange is the company behind the production of the show. After the debut season became a hit, the studio quickly renewed for a second run. The official Twitter handle of the Japanese production studio Orange came out with an announcement suggesting that the company will soon begin works on Beastars Season 3. Besides the news, the studio does not reveal any further production details. The second season is currently streaming on Netflix, and many fans are catching up. What Will Happen In The Third Season?
The biggest plot point of the second season of Beastars was the chase of the killer of Tem. By the end of the season, luckily, we see that Riz is finally with the authorities. But the path of this chase has unlocked more mysteries and villains who are now behind Legoshi and Louis. Beastars Season 3 is likely to see the parting of Legoshi and Louis as their aim is now fulfilled. By the end of the sequel, we see that Louis wants to dedicate his life to helping fellow carnivores in controlling urges.
As for Legoshi, he has learned a harsh truth about the co-existence of different species. We will see him return to school and find a new purpose in life once again. There are speculations that suggest that both of them will reunite on another case in the new season. The Beastars manga series by author Paru Itagaki has a total of 22 volumes as of now. However, the first two installments of its anime adaptation have only covered half of them. So, there is almost too much source material for the makers to adapt for the third season. It would probably cover the next 5 to 6 manga volumes.
Beastars Season 3: Release Date
For now, only the renewal of the show has seen confirmation from the studio. The release date is yet to confirm from Netflix’s side. But we can always speculate tentative premiere times of shows based on release cycles. Since the production company has just begun work on the project, it might take around six months to finish the animation of twenty-four episodes. Fans can expect to see a trailer by the end of this year. Thus, Beastars Season 3 might arrive in Spring 2022. Let’s see if this speculation turns out to be true or not.
