Why Is Studio Pierrot Not Announcing Black Clover Season 5?

So, a potential Season 5 of Black Clover would need almost 100 chapters to adapt. That means Studio Pierrot needs more material to pull from. Despite the series being on halt, Pierrot returned with a feature film, Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King. The spin-off movie is not based on Yuki Tabata’s manga, but it is an adaptation of the original story. Sword of the Wizard King follows the aftermath of season 4. It delves deeper into the battle between Asta and his mage company against banished wizards.
The latter aims to destroy the Clover Kingdom. However, Asta and his mage company give them tough competition in order to protect their kingdom. The spin-off movie also sees Yuno return, who helps Asta in this battle. Well, Netflix has already confirmed that the events that happen in the spin-off movie will continue in Black Clover Season 5. That means there’s hope for the next season.
Black Clover Season 5: What Will Happen Next?
No doubt, Black Clover Season 5 will pick up straight to the Spade Kingdom Arc, following the showdown against the Dark Triad imminent. This means the fifth season will explore deeper into the Zogratis family and their deal with Upper-Class Devils. However, their power will be challenged soon. On the other hand, the Dark Triad’s arrival will also bring their subordinate into the picture. In the fourth season, Asta rejected the underworld’s rules.
