The post shares that the biggest anime library, Crunchyroll, will stream all series’ currently airing on Funimation. It also delivers that Funimation will soon shut down, and the fans can cancel their subscription packs whenever they are willing to.

Last year Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. bought the online streaming service Crunchyroll from AT&T and WarnerMedia for a whopping $1.175 billion. The huge company plans to bring all the biggest names in the anime industry under the same umbrella, hoping to provide the best all the subs, dubs, music, series, and movies under one franchise. However, this has completely angered the workers at the firm.

Low Wages Offered To Voice Artists! Union Dubs?

This has come to view right after the announcement of the merge of Crunchyroll and Funimation. Crunchyroll offers incredibly low wages to its voice artists than the proper requirement. Reports even conclude that the voice artists in the anime industry present as one of the least paid jobs. A voice actress of this industry came forward, depicting the low salary that Crunchyroll provides its workers. Michael Schwalbe of the Boruto series stepped up and mentioned the long history of Funimation taking advantage of their workers.

According to the voice actor, the site pays only $35 per hour, which seemingly rises to $75. More artists jumped in, voicing their opinion on the matter, claiming that they are not even paid slightly close to the work and effort they put into their projects. Another renowned artist, Stephanie She, finally urged for union dubs. While some users were skeptical about this concept, a voice actress, Marin Miller, briefly explained the term. She put forward the term saying that a union offers freelancer workers to work independently while also enjoying a normal employee’s health.
