Where are all the Dragon Ball Z Warriors now? It has been quite some time since the final episode of Dragon Ball Z aired on television. The last that we saw of this saga was when Goku and the Z-Warriors defeated Kid Buu with the help of Spirit Bomb. But after that, no one got the desired closures for the beloved characters. We were taken straight to four years later in the Dragon Ball Super series.
Between these two shows, we got the experimental Dragon Ball GT that the audiences did not receive well. The show featured a teenage Pan and an adult Trunks. The series also gave a brand-new look called the Super Saiyan 4 to Goku and Vegeta both. Due to negative reviews from almost all the fans, the story of GT was officially taken off from the franchise. However, despite that, we never got to know the ultimate fates of our favorite characters. So, let us find out what happened to every Z Warrior after Dragon Ball Z ended.
Dragon Ball Z Warriors: Goku
After the devastating outcome of the war with Buu, Chi-Chi forced Goku to discontinue his martial arts training. She pushed him to find a real job and work for a living. That’s when he meets the God of Destruction, Beerus, who was looking for a Super Saiyan God. Hence, Goku begins to train with Beerus, his companion, Whis. This ultimate training gives Goku some new levels of power like the Super Saiyan Blue and Ultra Instinct mode. He learns a lot in his fights with newly resurrected Frieza and the champions of other universes.
Vegeta
After freeing the world from the wrath of Kid Buu, Vegeta is determined to spend the rest of his life with his family. Due to this, he started spending more time with Trunks and Bulma. Knowing that his all-time rival Goku is practicing yet again, Vegeta restarts his training in order to surpass Goku. He even approached Whis to request him to train him. Thus, Goku and Vegeta eventually became students of the same master. Later, Vegeta took a break from his training due to the birth of his second child, Bulla. But after he resumed his training, he became the only warrior ever to acquire the Super Saiyan Blue Evolved form.
Dragon Ball Z Warriors: Gohan
Being the common man he is, Gohan went back to his human life after the events of the Buu attack. He abandoned his training and married the love of his life, Videl. Moreover, he later becomes a father of a healthy boy named Pan. However, when Frieza returns, Gohan realizes that giving up his training was a huge mistake. But he still manages to work hard to regain his Ultimate form. Gohan prepares Goku steam of heroes and leads them into the Tournament of Power. In order to make up for his mistake, Gohan trains relentlessly and becomes the third strongest warrior after the Saiyans Goku and Vegeta.
Dragon Ball Z Warriors: Krillin
Just like his close friend Gohan, Krillin also gave up his life as a warrior and became a family man. In fact, he even managed to get a job at the local police. But being a warrior from the heart, he dearly missed his old life. Hence, when the Tournament of Power finally arrived, Krillin saw this as an opportunity to redeem himself. He joined Goku’s team for the tournament. Yet, unfortunately, he was the first one to get eliminated from the championship.
Future Trunks
The storyline of Future Trunks is far different from the rest of the characters. After the events of Dragon Ball Z, this version of Trunks returned to his timeline. There, he fought an epic battle with the evil versions of Android 17 and Android 18. Besides, he then became the self-proclaimed protector of the planet earth. Trunks also prevented the rise of Majin Buu. When his world was under the attack of Zamasu, he went back to the past to get help. In the end, his foes were ultimately defeated.
Master Roshi
Since the beginning of the popular show, there wasn’t much change in the arc of Master Roshi. Well, this was actively undone in Dragon Ball Super. At one point, there came a sudden revelation that the Turtle Hermit secretly trained and became powerful enough to fight alongside the other heroes once again. Besides, his training was evident in the show as he even outperformed Tien and Krillin combined in the Tournament of Power.
Android 18
This is another character who revived her storyline through the Tournament of Power. After living a peaceful family life with Krillin, Android 18 got back into action in the championship. In the competition, she reunited with Android 17, who was no longer a villain. Android 17 had now become a park ranger. The duo performed exceptionally well in the tournament.
Goten & Trunks
Of all the Dragon Ball Z warriors that have gone through major character arcs, these two have remained the same. Both the little Saiyans are still the mischievous boys that they were back in the day. They are still unaware of the power that lies within them. However, their strengths were evident in the Buu Saga. There is a long way to go for these little kids in order to become the strongest warriors on earth.
Piccolo
The last that we saw this Dragon Ball Z warrior was when he sacrificed himself in order to save Gohan from Frieza. However, Piccolo was revived shortly after his death with the help of Dragon Balls. The man spent most of his time training and meditating just the way he did earlier. It is also evident that he has increased his power quotient a lot as compared to earlier. He has also come back as Gohan’s teacher in Dragon Ball Super.
