It has almost been four years since the fans last saw elDLIVE on screens, and now they are eagerly waiting for elDLIVE Season 2. The fans have been waiting to hear from the creators over these years. However, the makers are pretty tight-lipped in slipping out details about its future. So will the fans be able to see its second installment? Here are all the latest details.
elDLIVE is a Japanese anime series. It is the remake of the manga series of the same title by Akira Amano. The manga starts serializing in 2013, and the anime made its debut after four years. The first episode was aired on January 8, 2017. It ran for twelve episodes, with the last one being aired on March 26, 2017. The anime received a good response from the viewers but a mixed response from the critics.
elDLIVE Season 2: Canceled?
Studio Pierrot developed the debut installment of this anime series. And ever since it released its first season, no one hears from them about the show’s second season. Pierrot neither renewed nor canceled the anime for its future installments. Since most of the critics gave it a mixed response, therefore the fans thought it would not return. Currently, it seems like the fans were right. It’s almost been four years, and the makers haven’t even renewed it for elDLIVE Season 2. So, the possibility of it getting a renewal is quite low.
Busy Schedule Of Studio Pierrot!
Pierrot is one of the oldest and most renowned studios in Japan. It is behind the animation of the shows like Naruto, Tokyo Ghoul, Bleach, Black Clover, etc. Currently, the studio is busy with the production of Boruto, Black Clover, Kingdom Season 3, and Akudama Drive. After these, the studio has several more projects. Therefore, it is clear that Pierrot doesn’t have any time for the series, which last aired almost four years ago. Even if the studio makes some time for elDLIVE Season 2, it will be after one or two years.
elDLIVE Season 2: Will The Anime Ever Return?
Currently, the only thing which is in favor of the second season of this show is the availability of the source material. The makers have released eleven volumes of the manga so far, and some of them are yet to be adapted in anime. Except for that, everything is going against elDLIVE Season 2. Despite the fact that there is enough source material for the following season, it is unlikely that the fans will see the return of its anime.
