The television series aired in Japan between April and July 2016. The studio released a special episode featuring a side story, a few months after the finale.

Studio Deen’s Sakamoto Desu ga featured a unique storyline that impressed viewers from around the globe. It was undoubtedly one of the best comedy anime of 2016. As a result, the demand for more episodes surged soon after the series ended. Yet, for years, the studio has resisted talking about the anime’s future. Well, as per the looks, chances for the return Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto Season 2 are relatively low. One of the main reasons behind the same lies in its source material.
Anime adaptations are mostly dependant on their source material. They also act as advertisements for their respective light novels, mangas, or video games. Hence, they only survive as long as they have content to promote. In fact, most of these anime are canceled right after the first season.
