High Card Episode 2: What Will Happen Next?
The upcoming episode, “Make A Choice,” will focus on Finn’s decision. Well, he has no clue what is going on and how all these cards can summon all of these things. But he has no time to think about it. This is because the car salesman and Finn are both alive and pointing their gun at each other. Finn needs to leave this place as soon as possible. So without thinking, he will hit the trigger and shoot in the salesman’s direction. He will be wounded, too, by the gunshot.
Finn will grab the car salesman’s Card and leave the place. He will embark on a journey to learn about these playing cards’ power. Soon cops will arrive at the crime site, but Finn manages to escape. He will continue to raise funds to support his orphanage. But it seems like the upcoming episode will bring more questions to Finn’s plate, and he needs to find the answers as soon as possible. Can he?
A Quick Recap!
High Card Episode 1 opened up with a girl named Iris breaking into a castle and stealing a suitcase from the secret vault. While escaping, she summoned several explosions with her magic power, but a strange woman summoned a gust of wind that broke open the case and blew a special deck of playing cards away far and wide. A month later, a pickpocket named Finn stole several items from multiple people. After learning that the landlord was planning to turn the Sun Fields Orphanage, where he grew up, into luxury apartments, he tried to gather funds quickly. He went to sell his goods to a pawn shop, but the owner refused to buy his goods, except for 2 of Spades’ card. However, Finn refused to sell them. Later Finn ended up in a casino and won the poker table until Lucky Lunchman cleaned him out.
The casino pit boss suspected Finn and Lucky of cheating and took them into a dark room. But suddenly, one of the guards entered, revealing 3 of Diamonds and transferring them into a pair of gloves. He said that anything he grabbed turned into marbles. Then he threatened to kill Lucky’s family if he didn’t show his own Card, the 10 of Diamonds. However, a car salesman having 5 of Hearts appeared and started fighting the fake guard. Finn took advantage, stole the 10 of Diamonds, and escaped with a stolen car. But he later learned that both men were chasing him. All three of them survived the fiery crash. After the guard demanded Finn hand over his Card Finn tried his luck and summoned a loaded revolver hitting the attacker’s arm.
