ID Invaded is an original Japanese sci-fi mystery anime series. The story is written by Otaro Maijo, while Studio NAZ handled the animation of the television show. Ei Aoki helmed the series that made its debut on January 5, 2020. It ran for 13 episodes and concluded on March 22 of the same year. After some time, it premiered on Netflix as well and became a global hit.

It revealed that the fans would soon get more information on ID Invaded Season 2 in the near future.
Now recently, on April 2, 2021, the same Twitter account posted a picture, and the followers are speculating it featured the production staff of this anime. In the caption, the countdown reached 0:00, and the word reads, “To be next… Wait for further news!!!” Therefore, the fans expect the makers to renew this show officially very soon.
Is There Enough Source Material?
The inaugural season of the anime was an original story, and it didn’t follow any manga, LN, or video game series. Despite that, it gained fame in no time and met with a positive critical reception. The show also has a pretty good score of 7.90 on MAL. However, now the fans have been wondering what’s next for this show. So, the good news is that the production studio has enough source material for its second season. Back in 2019, a manga titled “ID Invaded Brake Broken” came out, which is a direct sequel to the anime’s debut season. Therefore, NAZ studio can use it to produce ID Invaded Season 2.

By the look of the recent posts made by ID Invaded’s official Twitter account, it seems like its sequel will take place this very year. If they announce the anime in the upcoming weeks, the new episodes might only take a few months to hit the screens. Hence, at most, fans can expect to see the premiere of ID Invaded Season 2 in the last quarter of 2021.
