Recently, the official Twitter account of Shōnen Jump magazine revealed that Jujutsu Kaisen mangaka Gege Akutami is facing physical health problems. This is the reason why the author will be taking his time to recover from the ailment. However, the specific health conditions were not revealed by any of them. The latest issue of the magazine confirms that they will update the fans regarding the release.
In a separate tweet, the author shares with his fans that he wholeheartedly wishes to continue writing the end of Jujutsu Kaisen. He says that his mental health is in the best condition, but it’s only his body that is showing signs of illness. Moreover, the author also shared that Shōnen Jump has been insisting on him to take a break, but he was reluctant to work hard. It’s a piece of good news that the artist is finally resting his pen and focusing on his health more. Akutami had been consistently drawing the story for the last three years.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Next Release Date
With other revelations, author Gege Akutami assured his followers that the hiatus period would not be too long. While we do not have a solid release date for the next chapter, Akautami reveals that the break will only last a month. This means that we can expect to get Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 153 by mid-July 2021.
