Throughout the run, he kept thinking about the invulnerable powers of Ichikawa.

The captain also mentioned that he wanted to defeat Number 9 in order to prove his worth in the Association. Hoshin also promised that he was going to teach Reno how the fight monsters the way he did. And so, the training sessions will finally begin.
