And so, the new name in this world happens to be Kotaro Lives Alone 2 Live-Action. That is right, the long-awaited show is finally in the production stage of its sequel. Kotaro Lives Alone 2 Live-Action: Official Announcement
The first news comes from the official Twitter page of the live-action show. And the announcement was a straight green flag to the sequel, Kotaro Lives Alone 2 Live-Action. After the success of the first series, the anticipation for the new one was high. However, it took two years for the makers to bring the series back to the main screens. Cast & Staff Updates!
Most of the cast members from the first season are sure to rejoin the team of Kotaro Lives Alone 2 Live-Action. Starting with Eito Kawahara, this child actor plays the role of Kotaro, the main character. Along with him, You Yokoyama shall reprise his role Shin Karino in the lead. The rest of the members of the KAJANI Group contribute to the show in its main theme. The opening song will be performed by the same group. As for the staff members of the show, many names are returning this time as well.
Multiple directors, Kazuki Tobita, Naomi Kinoshita, and others, are a part of the show as directors. As of the time of writing, the entire list is yet to come out. But we do know that Rub Etou continues to his duties as the writer of the script.
Kotaro Lives Alone 2 Live-Action: Release Date
As of the time of writing, the final release date is yet to be announced by the makers. However, we do have a speculated release date on the slate. The makers were quick to give the fans a final slate to ponder upon. Viewers shall expect to see Kotaro Lives Alone 2 Live-Action in the Spring Slate of April 2023. The episodes will come out every Saturday at 11:00 p.m. JST starting soon. In addition to this, TV Asahi will continue to air all these episodes on its prime channels.
