One of the most epic sci-fi anime is all set to make its return to the screens next year. The premiere date of Legend of the Galactic Heroes Season 3 is finally out. Legend of the Galactic Heroes is also known as Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu: Die Neue These in Japanese. The military sci-fi anime TV series is an adaptation of Yoshiki Tanaka’s novel series of the same title. Production IG announced the anime adaptation of this novel that made its debut in April 2018. Its second season aired as a three-part film series from September to November 2019. Now, the third installment of this show will also release in the form of a three-part film series next year.

The official website of Legend of the Galactic Heroes released the first key visual and official teaser for the upcoming installment of the anime. It reveals that the third season will be released under the title “Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Gekitotsu.” Just like the previous season, this one will also feature in theatres in the form of a three-part film.
The teaser of Legend of the Galactic Heroes Season 3 provides a glimpse of what the fans are about to see in the forthcoming season of the anime. It is revealing that the third season will be more intense than even, and the tension will be quite high this time. The fans can also expect to see some really good action sequences. The title of the third season, Gekitotsu, translates to “clash.” So, it is kind of certain the next season will come up with a great amount of space action.

In the previous installment of Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu, the viewers saw Commander Baghdash announcing the coup staged by the National Salvation Military council. They planned this coup under the direction of the Galactic Empire. Later, a fatal shootout between Admiral Dwight Greenhill and Lynch took place that entirely ended the period of martial rule. Later in the season, Reinhard managed to achieve absolute power. However, that came along with the heavy responsibilities of the leadership.
By the end of the second season, Yang Wen-li and Reinhard learned that they got a worthy opponent. Besides, he’d be waiting right on the other side of the galaxy, which is a true equal.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes Season 3 theatrical features will open on March 4, 2022, in Japan. The second part will follow up on April 1, 2022, and then the third and the final film will hit the theatres on May 13, 2022. Each of these parts will run for only three weeks in theatres. After that, Legend of the Galactic Heroes Season 3 will air weekly on TV.
