It has been a long time since we got to see a proper sports story. Since Haikyuu, there have been significantly fewer releases in this genre of anime. Well, Love All Play is here to break this chain. Recently, the novel’s official website came out with the announcement that the anime adaptation is not a far-off dream anymore. The badminton novel series by Asami Koseki first came out in 2011.
2014 was the final year when the novel released the ending part. Since then, there has been no news of renewal in any form. But this weekend, OLM and Nippon Animation came out with the announcement that they are collaborating to animate this inspiring sports story. Love All Play Anime: What Is The Story About?
According to the official synopsis by Crunchyroll, the plot of Love All Play revolves around a classic sports story. The viewers will get to meet protagonist Ryo Mizushima who is passionate about the sport of Badminton. But his new high school has limited resources for this particular sport. Thus, he must train all by himself to join the inter-school championship competitions.
In one of the lower-level competitions, Ebihara, one of the most renowned coaches of Japan, approaches Ryo. Not only does he praise the boy, but he also asks him to join the Yokohama Minato High School Badminton Club. From here begins an inspiring journey of a budding international champion. Let’s see how the makers bring this incredible story to the screens in the near future.
Staff Members & Production Details!
The official website of the anime lists the names of all the members who will be working at OLM and Nippon Animation to build the anime adaptation of Love All Play. For a start, Blade & Soul fame director Hiroshi Takeuchi will be directing his first-ever sports venture. The screenplay and the series composition will be department handled by Tomoko Konparu. Miharu Hirami, Shingo Irie, and Michiko Yokoto are writing the screenplay of the anime.
Additionally, Riko Kaneda will be designing the characters for the show. Lastly, the music department will be handled by Yuuki Hayashi. Let’s see what this able team has to offer us in the near future.
Love All Play Anime: Release Date
For now, neither Nippon Animation nor OLM has confirmed a solid premiere date for the upcoming anime. But the show does have a tentative release date for the adaptation. So, the Love All Play Anime adaptation is all set to hit the screens by Spring 2022. The anime will release on Yomiuri TV, Nihon TV, and other prime Japanese networks. It is only a matter of time before we can get a trailer for the new anime.
