The Summer Slate is quickly getting filled up with new projects one after the other. One such venture brought to us by Kodakawa is the Renai Flops anime adaptation. Better known as Love Flops, this is an anime that went under the radar of many otakus for not getting enough marketing. In the most recent announcement, the makers have revealed the first trailer, release window, and teaser visual of the Love Flops anime. So, here is all you need to know about the series.
Love Flops is an original net animation television project. It is an original story created by a team at Kadokawa. Judging by the trailer and title of the anime, fans believe that this is the story of a failed romance. But that might not necessarily be the case. Love Flops Anime: Trailer Announcement & Plot
In the first-ever announcement, the official Twitter account and website of the anime launched the trailer of the anime. The 104-second trailer video introduced all the characters that we are going to spend time with for an entire season. In addition, the description of the video also reveals the cast list of the show. However, there is no definite synopsis of the anime as of yet.
The only description that we get from the makers is about the characters. This small yet crisp plot revealed that Love Flops Anime will tell us the story of five transfer students who join the same school from different parts of the world. This includes Japan, China, Germany, Bulgaria, and the United States. These girls cross paths with Asahi who was looking for love all around anyway. Thus, this makes up for a beautiful yet chaotic story of failed love.
Cast & Staff Updates
As of the last update, the website did not give away the staff names and the production company of the anime. But we do have a list of cast members involved in the project. This includes Ryota Osaka as the main lead Asahi Kashiwagi. With him, Ayana Taketatsu plays the role of Amelia Irving. Rent-a-Girlfriend fame Rie Takahashi is voicing Ilya Illyukhin. Lastly, the other three girls include Hisako Kanemoto as Bai Mongfa, Marika Kono as Karin Istel, and Jun Fukuyama as Yoshio Ijuin.
Love Flops Anime: Release Date
At the time of writing, there is no update about the solid release date of the anime as of yet. However, the makers did make a note of revealing the 2022 release window for the anime. Considering that the trailer has been released, it can be assumed that the animation work of the show is already complete. Thus, a summer ’22 release date is getting betted upon.
