In the 9th episode of The Dungeon of Black Company, Kinji, and his crew began their quest against Raiza. The journey began from the Adventure fort. When Kinji and his team reached the gate, he wondered about the strange silence for a moment. The team was certainly expecting guards at the doors. Kinji’s friend explained that the place might be full of ghosts and spirits as many people have mysteriously died here. Soon after, the team was attacked by a pack of zombies.
While fighting the lot, Wanibe realized that Kinji was not with them anymore. Rim used his smelling abilities to follow Kinji’s stench, and she found him at the gate of the dungeon. She saw that he was kidnapped by one of the mages. The mage revealed that he wanted to make all the humans suffer as much as he did. Later, the team helped the mage set up a potion store in the town to fulfill her life dream. The episode ended with the store getting raided and Kinji telling the mage that this is the way of the system and they cannot change it.
