Mushoku Tensei is originally a light novel series. Rifujin na Magonote wrote it originally for a website publishing web novels. Media Factory later turned it into a light novel series in 2013. Pixiv user Shirotaka provided illustrations for the work. Yuka Fujikawa began a manga series adaptation in 2014 with Monthly Comic Flapper. Studio Bind produced a television anime adaptation of the series that ran from January to December in 2021. The anime series aired 23 episodes in total.

Mushoku Tensei OVA: Official Announcement
The production team for Mushoku Tensei had already announced that there would be a Mushoku Tensei OVA release. Recently they released a new trailer promoting their OVA. The trailer showed the fans a glimpse of Eris’ power when it came to slaying goblins. The trailer also had the voice of Cliff Grimoire as the voiceover. Although the trailer is not available in some countries, fans’ excitement is all over the internet.
In addition to this, the trailer also revealed that Ryota Osaka would be joining the cast to give voice to Cliff Grimoire. He has worked before as a voice actor for the main character in “The Devil is A Part-Timer!!” Fans are excited to have him as a part of the cast. The team also revealed that this OVA is actually an unaired episode from the anime series.
Plot Details
The story is about a 34-year-old man who dies in a truck accident. As he always felt that his life was pointless, he reincarnates into a whole new world. He wakes up in a baby’s body and realizes that he still remembers his old life. Moreover, he is born in a world of swords and sorcery. He decides that he wants to make this life more meaningful than his last and trains to become a magic-user. He becomes a student for a demon magician and meets many other people like Eris. So beings his story as an adventurer in a brand new world to lead a meaningful life.
The Mushoku Tensei OVA is an unaired episode of events that happened in Mushoku Tensei Episode 16. In the original series, Rudeus has the chance to meet Paul again. This will cover the events of what was happening with Eris when this was going on in Episode 16. She had to deal with goblins during these adventures. Although fans who have read the light novel will be able to tell what has happened, everyone will have to wait for the OVA’s release to see the whole thing in action.
Mushoku Tensei OVA: Release Details
There will be a special screening of the OVA at Toho Cinemas Hibiya. This premiere will happen on March 6, 2022. Moreover, fans will get a chance to see a live greeting of the cast of the anime series. Aside from this, the OVA will be available with the BluRay and DVD of Mushoku Tensei.
