A Quick Recap!
The eighth episode of Muv Luv Alternative Season 2 focused on the IJA and UN assault on Sadogashima. While Susano-O and Valkyries landed on one side of the island, IJA commenced a major diversionary landing operation on the other side. Despite the heavy loss, human forces made notable progress, and the UN group managed to violate the hive. However, the BETA handled to assault and destroy the UN group inside the hive and prepared their full forces.
Later they sent marched towards the Susano-O’s firing position. Since the Valkyries were the only defense force between Susano-O and the BETA, they mapped a plan to violate the BETA vanguard. Valkyries then destroyed both forces before defeating the Laser-class BETA in the rear. But BETA resistance was effective. So Takeru decided to work as bait so the Valkyries could reach the Laser class.
