The isekai anime first made its appearance in 2015. The second and the third seasons were released three years later, in 2018. Overlord Anime is based on Maruyama’s light novel series of the same name. They began serializing in 2010 on the Arcadia website. In addition, Shosetsuka ni Naro also started releasing the series in 2012. As of March 2020, the series launched fourteen volumes. And Yen Press began to release them in English in 2016. However, the anime debuted in 2015. The anime has completed three seasons and is expected to return for a fourth.
Overlord Season 4: New Visual And Promotional Video Out!
Overlord Anime’s official website unveiled a new visual and promotional video for the new season. The promotional video also gives away the premiere date for Overlord IV. In addition, the short clip confirmed the returning cast working on the show. Satoshi Hino, Yumi Hara, and Sumire Uesaka are returning to resume their roles as main leads. Also joining them as side cast are Emiri Kato, Masayuki Katou, and Kenta Miyake.
The anime’s website also revealed the staff working on Overlord IV. Moreover, the website confirmed that Madhouse Studio would animate the new season. Moreover, Naoyuki Itou will resume as the show’s director. In addition, Yuki Sugawara will return to work on the script. Expected Plot!
Season 3 of the anime ran for 13 episodes and ended in 2018. The third season followed the events of book 9 of the Overlord light novel series. So, the next season is expected to follow issues 10, 11, and 12. Season 3 left the fans with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger. And anxious fans have been eagerly waiting to see what happens to the skeletal hero. Season 4 will resume with Ainz as the king of his newfound kingdom.
According to book 11, ‘The Ruler of Conspiracy’, Ainz will try to make his new country into a paradise. He decides to make it a better place for its citizens. But, new threats halt the process. As kings, other lands have laid their eye on Ainz. He has to survive their assassination attempts and safeguard his citizens.
