The title of the forthcoming episode of Re-Main is “I’ve Always Been Me.” The name clearly hints towards Minato’s personal arc. After getting back his memories, Minato is bound to hit the realization of how rude he used to be in his earlier life. This will have a huge impact on his career as well as his personal life. So far, everyone has been sympathetic towards him because he was suffering from an injury.
However, now that his memories are back, people may not forgive him for his insensitive actions and cruel words. His actions even lead to many people giving up on their II dreams. Thus, in Re-Main Episode 9, the only choice that Minato will be left with will be Yamanami’s offer. Earlier, he had refused to become his replacement out of arrogance. In the eighth episode, Minato went to meet Chinu in order to ask her about his past life. After getting the visuals of his past, he wanted to know more about himself. To this, Chinu said that he was an arrogant person and that he took extreme pride in his talent. She then reminded him of Ichinose Senpai, who used to practice water polo with them. The mention of Senpai brought back all of Minato’s memories. So, he immediately went to the hospital to get examined.
The doctors told him that his head injury was the reason he lost all his memories. But now, he has nothing to worry about. Later on, the boy rushed to Shogakukan’s head to apologize to him. But the coach sent him back with empty hands. Now, the only way the boy can get back to the pool is by helping Yamanami.
