Summer Time Rendering began with Shinpei narrating his days on the island. He stated that he left the island after his parents’ demise ten years back. However, he was back after learning about the death of Ushio, his dearest childhood friend. As he stepped foot on the island, he was greeted by Mio, Ushio’s younger sister. She took him to the funeral ceremony. It was then revealed that Ushio died while saving a kid.
The evening crept in, and Mio cried for her sister’s death. The next morning, Shinpei and Mio worked at their restaurant. The news of the kid’s family moving away reached them. Mio rushed out while Shinpei followed her. After stopping for a while, Mio concluded that Ushio was indeed killed by her lookalike. The episode reached its final minutes when Shinpei and Mio followed a gunshot inside the forest. They were soon killed by Mio’s doppelganger.
