The anime adaptation That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime does not follow the conventional chronology. Since the first cour of the pilot season, the adaption departed from materializing the story in its original order. So, the first season (twenty-five episodes) ended up using the first 52 chapters of the manga. As the story progressed to the second season, many manga chapters were skipped in order to reach a certain point in the story.
Thus, the second season ended up becoming more for a compilation story than an adaptation. Many episodes of the second season include bits from before Chapter 52 in the manga. There are parts from Chapters 40 and 41 from the text. By the eleventh episode, the story reached the 71st chapter of the manga. Then, the second cour began from the 74th chapter. At the time of writing, the manga has come out with 82 chapters.
But since the story is still ongoing both in the light novel and the manga, there will be more than enough source material for the next season. However, the chronology cannot be assumed since the anime is not a sincere adaptation of the text.
