What Is The Plot?
Wisteria is a young girl who was left alone at some point as an infant. And now lives in a far-flung region of the British Empire at the end of the nineteenth century. Her life is lonely and hopeless until she meets Marbas, a powerful immortal entity with a furry appearance whom hunters are pursuing. Wisteria and Marbas are a couple who want to find a peaceful place to live among the humans and humanoids in the Empire.
The end of the story brings them to a peaceful place, but it also has some scary parts. There’s more going on here than battle, pain, and overcoming inner demons. Those are only the surface elements. The setting in the late 19th century is hardly surprising, given the story’s gloomy mood. Aside from the general sadness of the time, the main characters had to deal with many horrible things.
