It has been only a few days the second season of Ascendance of a Bookworm marked its end and here we have an update regarding the third one. The series is quite popular because of its amazing niche surrounding the books and library. Those who have a special corner for books and library in their heart along with anime are appraising it a lot.
On July 12, 2020 an announcement came from the twitter account of Honzuki no Gekokujō. According to the statement, the creators are looking forward to another (3rd) season and its production has been confirmed. Here’s the official announcement from Ascendance Of A Bookworm:
The ascendance of a Bookworm is originally a web light novel. The respective novel used to publish in Shōsetsuka ni Narō. Later it was adapted by manga which ran successfully from 2015 to 2018.
In 2019 Ajia-do Animation Works Studio came up with the idea to bring an anime series of Ascendance of a Bookworm. Later in October 2019 the 1st season of the anime series aired in Japan. Just after a few months of first season authorities brought another one. On April 5, 2020, the second season marked its debut. The director of the anime series is Mitsuru Hongo and the author is Mariko Kunisawa.
Now, when it has been only a month, we have news regarding the 3rd part. Even though it was quite expected while considering the track record of an anime. But, having three seasons in less than a year is no doubt a challenging task and all the credit goes to the creators of Ascendance of a Bookworm.
The plot of Honzuki no Gekokujō is based on the love for books and one’s emotions attached with them. The anime shows how a girl Urano who dies by burring under the stack of books reincarnated just to read them.
