Tomo-chan Is A Girl is written and illustrated by Fumita Yanagida. It started serializing on the Twi4 Twitter account. Later was published on the Saizensen website in April 2015. It has a total of eight volumes so far. Now it will return with an anime adaptation soon.

During the Anime Expo industry panel, Crunchyroll announced today that Tomo-chan Is A Girl will get an anime adaptation. Soon its official Twitter account confirmed this news. The page released a short video teasing Tomo-chan’s life and how things change when she develops feeling for her childhood friend. The official page stated, “a youthful rom-com between a boyish girl and her dense childhood friend is about to begin.”
Crunchyroll stated that fans love the series, and now it will return as an anime. Ever since the manga started in 2015, it has drawn fans’ attention as they find themselves entangled in Tomo-chan feelings for his friend. Although the series concluded, it won first place in the Web Manga category in the 2nd Annual Next Manga Awards. Now they are excited to return with an anime adaption of fan favorite Web manga series.
What Is The Plot Of The Anime?
Crunchyroll describes the show as a youthful romantic comedy between a tomboy girl and her childhood friend. Tomo is a tomboy and stays away from other girls. But she has a crush on Junichirou, her childhood friend, who sees her as a man. Despite this, she tries to explain her true feelings. But her attempt goes in vain. However, their mutual friend Misuzu Gundou decides to help her express her love.

Tomo-chan Is A Girl Anime: Who Will Be In The Cast?
Crunchyroll has recently revealed the main characters list of the anime series. Rie Takahashi will join as Tomo Aizawa. Kaito Ishikawa as Junichiro Kubota will join Rin Hidaka as Misuzu Gundo and Sally Amaki as Carol Olston. It also revealed the English voice cast. These include Lexi Nieto as Tomo Aizawa and Sally Amaki as Carol Olston. Besides them, Hitoshi Namba will join the directing panel. Noriko Hashimoto as Assistant Director, Shiori Hiraiwa as Character Designer, and Megumi Shimizu as Head Writer. Music will be given by Yokoyama and Lay-duce will produce the show.
