The upcoming two episodes are “Transfer Student Close Call” and “Farewell Party Close Call,” which will finally introduce the most awaited characters of the series. Lum’s childhood friend, Ran, will appear as a transfer student at Tomobiki High School. However, nobody knows that she’s a big troublemaker. She participated in the sports day and acted cute in front of others to gain attention. But Lum knows she is an alien just like her and wants to snatch Ataru from her. Ran manipulates Ataru as she wants to kiss him because Lum likes him.
However, Lum tries her best to make a distance between the two of them. The following day in the culture festival, Lum tries to spend some time with her darling Ataru. But Ran calls them to show them something cool. Lum can’t believe her intention and rant at her, leaving Ran sobbing. So Lum decides to follow her. Ran reminds her about their past and how Lum snatched her lover. So now she wants to take revenge and snatch Ataru, but Ankira falls in love with her and kisses her, leaving Ran to leave Lum alone.

The seventh episode of Urusei Yatsura was a typical beach episode where the main cast appeared as bystanders to someone’s else story. Even fans didn’t get a chance to see Ataru in the opening scene getting beat up by his rival, nor Lum used a single bolt of lightning. But the anime dropped a rare comedy scene that actually worked in this episode. Instead of Lum or Ataru, Urusei Yatsura Episode 7 focused on a little blue demon named Pochi who seemed to live underwater. Well, fans felt bad for him. But his behavior had to blame for this. He didn’t want anyone to stay with him as he was bad at socializing.
Although his nature differed from the original cast, this contrast appeared pleasant in the show when all the main characters decided to mend. The way the episode concluded was strangely satisfying.
