This week’s episode, “Yuzurenai Yakumenanode,” roughly means “Because It’s A Role I Can’t Give Up,” hints that Urushi’s shogi club will finally turn into an official club. This is because now there are plenty of members in their club, and Urushi has to take the president’s responsibility seriously. However, Rin will have no idea about the shogi game and ask Augumu about it. Ayumu will teach Rin, which will upset Urushi.
As for Sakurako and Takeru, they will spend some time together in their classroom. Takeru will speak about his interest, and Sakurako will ask whether they are a couple now. Over with Urushi, she will run into Maki and tell her about her feelings. Maki will advise her to keep shogi away from them and speak to Ayumu about this. So Urushi will ask Ayumu to meet her after school. She will finally reveal her concern, and Ayumu will promise her to be with Urushi instead of paying attention to Rin.

Previously in When Will Ayumu Make His Move Episode 7, Urushi and Ayumu went with Sakurako and Takeru to see their classroom this year. Urushi was glad to learn that she and Ayumu were sharing the same classroom. Later Urushi ran into Maki’s friends, Hinano and Miku. The following day, both Ayumu and Urushi made flyers to attract people and invite them to their club. During this, Ayumu recalled when he joined the shogi club the previous year.
He was walking with Takeru to join the kendo club. There Takeru told him about love and what it felt like. But their conversation was interrupted when a flyer flew on his face, and Urushi apologized, ending him falling in love with her. Back in the present, a girl appeared. The girl was Rin and wanted to take Takeru and Ayumu back to the kendo club. Ayumu agreed to a match where he would join the kendo club if he lost. As they prepared for the match, Urushi had some conflicting thoughts and rushed to see the match, where she learned that Ayumu won the match, leaving Rin to join the shogi club.
