World Trigger, aka WorTri, is a Japanese sci-fi adventure anime series. It is based on Daisuke Ashihara’s manga series of the same name. Toei Animation produced the debut installment of the anime that ran for a total of 73 episodes. It premiered in 2014 and ended in 2016. Whereas the anime’s second season came out on January 10, 2021, and only ran for twelve episodes. The fans saw its finale on April 4, 2021.

Daisuke Ashihara has already published 23 volumes in the manga so far, and it is still running. The anime’s debut season found its stopping point at the 124th chapter. Its sequel began right after the inaugural season’s ending and consumed its plot till the 199th chapter. The second season also ended in the middle of the B-rank battle arc. Therefore, the fans can expect World Trigger Season 3 to begin from the 200th chapter of the manga.

The second season of the anime series featured some major storylines of the manga. It even began the B-rank battles arc. In the last episode of the second season, the viewers saw a triple threat competition among Oji, Tamakoma 2, and Ikoma Units. The match was intense, and there were a lot of bailouts. Ikoma was standing alone, so they realized they finally won the match. However, later it was revealed Tamakoma 2 secured the victory with 4 points. The excellent performance of Hyuse caught everyone’s attention. However, later he lost to Kei Tachikawa, and by the end, he joined Tamakoma 2.
