In the new timeline, their first job was the convince the people that the comet was about to hit Earth. So, Towa and Setsuna decided to meet with Moe Higurashi and tell her about the grave danger that was about to befall the world. But the meeting was not as fruitful as they were expecting it to be. People were thinking that they were bluffing about the entire comet thing.
It turned out that Kirinmaru, too, faced such rejection from everyone he talked to. In the night, all four of them sat together and discussed how they would stop the comet. Osamu Kirin commented that he could not find any people who were willing to help him. In the end, they decided that they had to fight the comet on their own.
